(Re)presenting our linguistic diversity

On May 23rd at 10.30 am the results of the research related to the research project “I+D+I ‘EquilinGalicia: Espazos de transformación sociolingüística no contexto educativo galego: axencia dos falantes, repertorios multilingües e prácticas (meta)comunicativas” have been presented in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Philology.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Elías Feijo Torres, the researchers Gabriela Prego Vázquez, María Caamaño Rojo and Luz Zas Varela, as well as the students and teachers of IES Manuel Murguía.

Within the framework of the activities of this project, the students of IES Manuel Murguía carried out a joint research on the family linguistic repertoires and the linguistic diversity of their environment, the institute and the city council of Arteixo, developing a detailed ethnographic work in different phases and with different activities: surveys, dramatizations, video recordings and micro-stories.

The students of the IES Manuel Murguía participate in this study on linguistic diversity in collaboration with researchers of the USC.
